Finnish Reflector | Loon
The Finnish reflector is a tag that reflects light and helps drivers to see pedestrians in the dark. This reflector (2.5") features an illustration of the loon on both sides.
Reflectors became a mid-century Finnish innovation when farmer Arvi Lehti developed a reflector that allowed his horse wagon to be seen in the dark more efficiently. Soon his reflectors were in widespread use by pedestrians throughout Finland, and nowadays reflector tags are seen everywhere in the dark winter months.
Attach the reflector prominently to your bag or clothing so that it can swing freely. Drivers may notice you best when you attach the reflector on the side of you closest to the road at about knee height.
Replace damaged or soiled reflectors. This product contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years. The reflector has been type-inspected in accordance with the personal protective equipment regulation (EU) 2016/425 by SGG Fimko, notified body 0598, Takomotie 8, 00380 Helsinki. The product meets the requirements of standard EN 13356: 2001.
